Silicon tetrachloride, also known as silicon chloride, is an important raw material for the synthesis of organosilicon polymer compounds and the production of high purity silicon. It is the main by-product of the production of trichlorohydrosilicon, and it is also the main raw material of the manufacture of silicone, its finished products are silicone ester, organic silicone oil, high temperature insulating paint, silicone resin, silicone rubber and heat resistant lining materials. High purity silicon tetrachloride is also an important raw material for the manufacture of high purity silicon dioxide, inorganic silicon compounds, quartz fibers and optical fiber.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. The package must be sealed and protected from moisture. It should be stored separately from oxidizers, acids and bases, and should not be mixed.
